(TargetLiberty.org) – Across the US, politicians at all levels are imposing mask mandates often backed up by fines. There have been widespread protests against these laws, and violent – even lethal – conflicts where people have refused to wear them. Now one liberty-minded governor has ruled that none of these mandates will be imposed in his state.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp forbids cities, counties from requiring masks as coronavirus surges in the state https://t.co/MpD0qEYx34

Gov Brian Kemp (R-GA) issued an executive order Thursday suspending any current or future regulation imposed by the state, county or municipal government mandating “face coverings, masks, shields or any other Personal Protective Equipment” in public places.
Kemp has taken a liberal line on masks throughout the crisis, encouraging rather than requiring their use. In March, he banned counties and cities from imposing stricter rules than the state. However, several cities – starting with Savannah, and followed by Athens, Atlanta and Augusta – ignored the order and issued mask mandates. Now Kemp has drawn a line; no jurisdiction in Georgia will go beyond the state’s regulations.
