State Cops Headed Into Portland

(TargetLiberty.org) – As violence continues to worsen in Portland, OR, state police will return to the beleaguered city to widen the Portland Police Bureau’s crumbling blue line. Governor Kate Brown (D) announced Sunday that extra state police troopers and resources would be sent in to relieve pressure caused by the recent upswing in violence.

Brown seems to be one of the Democrats who have finally realized that their silence over the ongoing rioting isn’t helping Joe Biden’s chances in the upcoming election. She’s billing the deployment of state troopers as giving Portland cops the capacity to “arrest and charge those individuals who have engaged in violent or destructive acts.”

Portland has been suffering nightly riots for more than three months now, and the left-wing mobs show no sign of backing down. In fact, the violence seems to be escalating steadily. A member of the Conservative Patriot Prayer group was shot dead on Saturday, August 29, and when police arrested 29 rioters on Sunday, two were carrying loaded handguns, and others had knives and batons. It’s clear that Portland’s own police can’t cope; the question is whether the Oregon State Police (OSP) will be enough to turn the tide.
